granada
We next headed to Granada where we got to visit the Alhambra, a tremendous Moorish palace. Granada's winding narrow roads were a pleasure to explore - especially the hillside covered in hidden Gypsy cave homes built into the earth. We stumbled upon a restaurant tucked away on a tiny street and enjoyed a delicious Arabic lunch, where we were happy to find several pictures of our own Rick Steves adorning the walls. We also joined our traveling companions for a beautiful dinner on the Albayzin hill with a direct view of the sunsetting over the Alhambra. The Alhambra, itself, was the reason we wanted to come to this part of the world.
